I purchased this player after not only reading the reviews on here but on several other sites as well. This player is one of the best investments I have made in quite some time. Thus far everything I’ve used on it has worked with any issues at all. This is my first blue ray disc player, its replacing a basic Samsung DVD player which still works.

It connected right up to Netflix, You Tube, Pandora and Internet TV wirelessly, I have watched about 10 movies on it, listened to Pandora, watched You Tube, and Internet TV without one glitch, I watched one movie while my laptop was downloading 21 updates (hadn’t used in a while) wirelessly and my desktop was on and it didn’t slow down or effect this player in a negative manner at all.

I have a broadband connection and have a good wireless N router which is one of the keys to getting a good quality signal to the player. The player was a snap to set-up, it was so easy, that my wife did it! We were watching Netflix within a matter of minutes after opening an account with them.

The player downloaded a firmware updated almost immediately after going live on the Internet. It took about 20 minutes to complete. When it rebooted, the player had two more additional channel choices on it other than the choices it came from the factory with, Internet TV and the MLB channel. I haven’t loaded the software on disc it came with on my computer yet, but that will be soon because the wife wants to start looking a the many pictures we have stored on the computer, we’ll now be able to view them on the TV with this player.

I was so impressed with this player I purchased the previous model (BD570) for the living room which is basically the same player without the hard disk drive which is something I didn’t need for the other room.

The price point for this player was one of the best things this about it, it was a steal for a buck eighty nine, similar players with the same features were more but this player the hard disk drive, no other player on the market currently has that feature to my knowledge.

I’ll keep you updated if there are any major changes or developments. I have no problem recommending this player. Its a solid player that does what it says it does without any issues thus far.
